Guiding questions

Balance is the hardest of all quests. It’s hard, because to get to your answer, you must explore the poles. The extremes. The unbalanced on both ends of the spectrum.

There is no replacement for firsthand experience, but some guiding questions can help you funnel your experience into useful daily action.

Here are some guiding questions:

  1. Who will I help today? Whom can I learn from today?

  2. What am I seeking more of today? Why do I seek it—what’s the push and the pull? For more of this, what am I willing to have less of?

  3. What is the smallest first step today? What would be the most meaningful result in 1 day/1 month/1 year/1 decade?
